County Stuff

Hey Marlins!

We're headed to county at full speed, so Saturday will be here before we know it (or are ready)! The coaches have been working diligently to help our swimmers do their best, and we're very fortunate for their instruction. There are a few points that were brought up at last night's meeting that I want to share with you:

  • No parents on the pool decks. Georgia Tech will provide security again, and security's main complaint last year was not knowing who was supposed to be on deck or not. Since it's their pool, we are bound to their rules. Coach Tyler will arrange for a coach to escort younger swimmers (under 11 years) to our spot on the deck. 11 and ups can make their own way.
  • Swimmers should wear their Edinburgh suits and swim caps. This aids in team identification as well as expresses club pride.
  • No tech suits for 12 and ups. This doesn't apply to us, but I just want to pass this along.
  • No photography on the pool deck. Swimmers may use their i-Gizmos to take pix, but adults are "not supposed" to take pictures of younger swimmers. The board promises that the county photographer (River Oak ?)will take candids; I don't know how they will distribute them, though.
