Hi Marlins families,

I hope your July is off to a great start!

My apologies to our county families.  I've fallen behind on my communication of information to you, and with the meet fast approaching, I have some information to share.

BIG thank you to all who volunteered!  Your time and dedication to the Marlins is what makes this all possible for our kids who love this sport!

Attached to this email is the "psych sheet", which lists the final qualified swimmers.  Many of you have reached out or been contacted about your child's final standings, but for those who still have questions, you can reference this document.

I have our team's tickets.  For those new to county, each team is allotted a certain number of tickets to divide among families.  It looks like each family will get 3-4 tickets to each session that you have a child swimming in.  If you need more, please reach out to someone in your session for extras.  Or if you can't use all of yours, you can give them back to me or to another family.  Once I have had a chance to assign tickets, I will send another email letting you know they will be available for pick up at a morning practice ASAP.

And last, here is some specific information from the county about lots of other things:

GA Suit Policy for the county meet: Please note the GCSL Championship meet does not meet the criteria defined by Georgia Swimming Standards of a “Championship meet” so therefore we will not allow technical suits at our county meet for those swimming in the 12 and under events. This rule change was communicated to all team council representatives prior to the season start. There is no standing in the walkways and spectators must sit in their assigned seats. ADA seating is clearly marked and only for people in need of accommodated seating plus ONE companion. If you need an ADA seat, you will pick up a wristband AND a ticket for those seats from the Volunteer Check-In table upon arriving at Tech. Georgia Tech will be providing security for the meet and will be enforcing the seating. If a spectator does not comply, they will be asked to leave and/or be removed from the building by campus police.
