Good Evening, Marlins!

Due to the interest in virtual meets expressed via our survey, we have decided to attempt a virtual season with GCSL.

Our attempt is contingent on having enough registered swimmers to be able to afford our coaches, and therefore not only fund a season this year, but procure funds to support the 2022 season as well.

In other words, if our swim roster is too small, we will not only be unable to afford coaches this season, but will also wipe funds for next year.

Registration will open online today for a virtual season with safety measures in place, including limiting the number of swimmers and individuals on the pool deck at one time.

Registration will close Friday, April 2nd.

If we meet our minimum requirement of 90 swimmers for the season by April 2nd, we will proceed with our virtual season. The virtual season will include the County Meet for swimmers with top times, once again set to take place at Georgia Tech in July.

If we fail to meet the 90 swimmers needed, we will provide our Marlins and Edinburgh families with a conditioning-only season as outlined in prior emails. This type of season will be less impactful on the Edinburgh Marlins budget than the GCSL season.

Minis will not officially register with SwimTopia at this time. However, we will begin a list of interest for Minis starting today. We currently have space for eight Minis. Once we hit eight, we will place any remaining Minis on a waitlist until we determine exact number of coaches available, etc.

If you would like to be on the Mini list, respond to this email. Please include Mini name, age, name of siblings (if applicable) and a contact number. Minis should be ages 3.5-6 years old and comfortable in the water/good listeners.

Registration costs for the virtual season to be collected at a later date are:

15&up- $40/swimmer

13/14- $70/swimmer

All other age groups- $150/swimmer

$5 multiple sibling discount
