Color Teams and Extras
Hello Marlins!
Happy last day of school! Yay for summer to start!
As I am sure you might have heard, we have split the team up into color groups to add some competition back into our virtual meets this year. The teams will be awarded points each week for Sportsmanship, Attendance at practices, High Point, and Spirit. This is also a good way for the coaches to get some more one on one time with the team and help build upon the swim community. Practices will still be held like normal, this is just a way for them to add some competition for meets since we will not be able to race other teams in person.
If you or your child is interested in buying any swim gear (caps, goggles, swim suits, etc.) throughout the season, we have spent some time finding websites where you can get good quality and less expensive gear. It might be cool for your child to get a swim cap for their color team, it is not required but it could be a lot of fun (and for spirit)! Side note: We have not yet told the 6&Under group their team colors yet since we don't want to take up too much time from their practice but we are planning to do it tomorrow!
