Notes from HOA on safety & past due accts

Hi Marlins,

We need your assistance with a few things...

First, we were informed by our HOA that a small child nearly drowned two nights ago. The child was rescued by a lifeguard, but was unconscious. Our BOD is taking this incident very seriously and wants to ensure we are being safe and taking all precautions possible.

They have asked we keep the gate closed at all times and do not prop it open. Non residents will need to be assisted by residents when entering the pool area during meets and practice. Residents, please bring your fobs/send fobs to practice with your kids and help our non resident families enter the pool area when needed.

Additionally, please make sure your children are not playing or sitting in the water during meets and practice. Last night we had several kids jump into the pool on the baby steps during the meet, as well as dangle legs and arms in the water. This has never been permitted as it is dangerous and also distracting. Our meets are very chaotic and it would be easy to miss an accident or for a child to slip into the water undetected.

We also ask you speak to your kids about not running on deck, throwing balls near the pool, or entering the area behind the dive blocks unless lining up on the buckets to swim.

Finally, the HOA informed us we will not be able to allow anyone with a past due HOA fee account on our roster. To make a payment or for assistance with an overdue balance, residents should reach out to our property manager and BOD.

Thank you for your help on all of this.
