2022 Registration is now OPEN!

Greetings Marlins!

We are preparing for the 2022 summer swim season and we hope to have all our previous Marlin families back with us!  We are looking forward to a "back-to-normal" season with dual meets against other neighborhoods and a County Championship.  We have lots of exciting changes to announce with a new head council and new head coach as well as several new people in committee positions.  You can find a list of committee members and contacts on our www.edinburgh.swimtopia.com website under 'Contact Us'.  After the Covid summers, we want this to be a summer of rebuilding and growing our team-- So please, come back and join us... and bring a friend!  Swimmers of all ages, skill levels, and both resident/non-residents are welcome.

The Marlins are excited to announce our new Head Coach, Josh Morgan!!

Coach Morgan is the Lanier High School Swim & Dive Team Assistant Coach, and we are simply thrilled to have him join the Edinburgh Marlins family this summer!

Coach Morgan, who began coaching at Lanier in 2021, also brings four years of experience coaching swim and strength & conditioning at LifeTime Johns Creek. He received his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Georgia Gwinnett College and his master's degree in sports medicine from Georgia Southern. He teaches biology and forensics at Lanier High School, coaches club water polo, and is looking forward to a fun and successful swim season with our beloved Marlins.  He will be joined by several junior coaches who should be fun, familiar faces.

Registration for the 2022 summer is now OPEN!  All forms and fee payments can simply be done by going to www.edinburgh.swimtopia.com OR following the QR code attached.  Once on the site, just look for the 'Registration' button on the top blue bar or the drop down menu on mobile device.

New this year, you will notice a penalty for volunteer NO SHOWS. This policy is designed to ensure we have volunteer positions needed to run our meets. Families will NOT be penalized for extenuating circumstances or if the volunteer coordinator is notified in advance and a good faith effort is made to find a substitute.  The volunteer coordinator will make every effort to fill roles based on your preferences and family needs.  More details are included on the registration form regarding this procedure.  PLEASE NOTE:  Upon checkout, the final payment screen will reflect an additional $100 as an **authorized amount only** in the event that a no-show penalty needs to be assessed during season. YOU ARE NOT BEING CHARGED THIS PENALTY at registration.  The only charges that will be assessed are for registration costs (including Swimtopia fee and photography fee) and it will show up in a grey bar that says 'Pay with WePay'.

We are still working out exact practice times with our new coach and that information will communicated soon.  Generally speaking, after school practices will begin on May 9th between the hours of 4-6:30, depending on age group. Morning practices will begin the first day school is out between the hours of 8-10:30, depending on age group. Season will run until the end of June and County Championship will be July 8-10 for those that qualify.

We can't wait to see everyone back in the pool and for our Marlin family to be bigger and better than ever!
