Hi Marlins!

The start of the season is just around the corner and we're very excited!  Registration closes this week and the first day of practice is Monday, May 9.  (More reminders and details on practice will come soon.)

We want to remind you about an Informational Meeting for parents this Sunday, 5/1 at 5:00 at the pool clubhouse.  Feel free to bring your swimmers!  This will be a great opportunity to meet your coaches/committee members, receive a handbook and ask all your questions.  Marlin merchandise will also be available for purchase, by cash or check.  Hope to see you there!

WE NEED YOU...

We are in need of a few volunteers to fill special roles this season-- the Starter and several Stroke/Turn judges.  The Starter is responsible for keeping the pace of the meet, announcing each race and giving the starting signal for each race.  Stroke and Turn judges partner with 2 stroke/turn judges from the opposing team to examine swimmers in each race to look for swim infractions that may disqualify the swimmer. Both positions are important to the integrity of our meets and are a great way to be pool side for all events.  These positions require minimal distractions while "working".  Easy, on-line training is immediately available for those interested and filling these roles will satisfy your family's volunteer obligations for the season.  The more volunteers the better to split the role responsibilities, and no experience necessary!  Please consider filling these roles as they are crucial to the running of our meets and we are in immediate need.  If interested, please respond to this email and more information will be provided about available training courses.  Thank you for your help with this!
