Hi Marlins-

It's time!!!!  We kick off the season with the first day of practice- Monday, May 9!  We will follow the after-school schedule as follows:

4-4:30: 6U and Minis  (parents, please be present)

4:30-5:30:  Elementary age

5:30-6:30:  Middle and High school age

We follow this schedule until May 24 and no practice on May 25, the last day of school.  Practice will be held Monday- Friday.  We understand that this is a very busy time of year for families, so we just ask that you attend as many practices as possible.  It is not necessary to inform anyone if you will not make practice.  

Please be aware that the first couple weeks may be a little chaotic as the kids get used to being back in the pool and get to know each other and the routine.  The water may be cold at first, so we recommend bringing plenty of warm towels and clothes for afterward.  It is not necessary to wear your Marlin suit to practice.  Any one piece suit for girls and preferably jammers for boys will be fine. Don't forget to bring your goggles!

We are asking that parents of the 6U and Mini age group please stay poolside during your swimmer's practice time.  We want to make sure the littles are comfortable in the water and that you are close by as they get used to practice.  ;-)  All parents of older kids are welcome to stay for practices (especially in the beginning), but not required.  

We are excited to have many new families on the team this year and we know that you may have questions.  However, we always ask that you not interrupt any of the coaches during practice times.  They are busy ensuring the safety and instruction of the swimmers they have in the water.  If you have individual questions or concerns about your child, we encourage you to email Coach Josh so that he can address it during non-practice times.  If you stay during practice, you will likely be able to find a veteran swim family or committee member who will be happy to answer questions as well.  

*For safety, ONLY swim team members are allowed in the pool during practice times.  That includes the baby pool and slide area.  When your practice time is over, you must stay out of the water.  Thank you for your help and understanding on this important matter.  

*For those of you coming from outside the neighborhood, just let the gate attendant know that you're here for swim team.  The gate guards are aware of our swim schedule.
