Hey Marlins-

The Marlins are hitting the road this week for the first time in 2 years and headed to visit the Apalachee Aquatics. Hard to believe we’re going into our halfway point for meets this season!! Good news is we won’t be responsible for as many jobs, but the bad news is Apalachee is a bit of a drive. Please allow plenty of time for travel. **Check in time for our swimmers is 4:30!**  Please report to the visitor’s bullpen to sign in, both swimmers and volunteers. Apalachee pool has 6 lanes, but does not have starting blocks- so swimmers will be diving from the side of pool to start. Having 6 lanes may make the meet go a little faster and we happen to have many families on vacation this week. We’ll be a little short on numbers again this week and all help will be needed to fill our volunteer roles. The other team has invited us to join in on their Superhero theme nite, so join in the fun and dress in your superhero best!

** Because this is an away meet, there will be NO MINI SWIM! **  Sorry, but we'll see them back for our next home meet!  ;-)

Volunteers

A table will be setup at the pool entrance for checking in so that we can get individuals to their stations

Bullpen

We are moving our visiting area to the area below the slide. We will have the little pool area down there blocked off and just ask that your team stay out of the water down there.

The goal is to merge the swimmers behind the starting area ahead of their respective Event/Heat

Seating

We do our best to keep open an area for our visiting families on the building side of the pool

oThis is a nice convenience for the restroom and concessions access

The instructions to the pool are as follows:

For GPS directions, search: 2608 Bent Tree Dr. Dacula, GA 30019

-- This address will take you to the general area of the pool in Apalachee Farms neighborhood.  Coming from the direction that most of us will come from home, the pool will be on the right as you come down Dacula Rd..  There will be a first  entrance to the pool  just before you get to Bent Tree Dr..  You can go into either entrance.  The parking lot circles behind around the pool/tennis courts from either entrance.  Looks to be about a 45 min. drive.  

Parking

Our pool has a parking lot to use until full.  

Overflow Parking:

The Apalachee Farms Clubview neighborhood that connects to our parking lot

The Apalachee Trophy Club (golf course) across the street

Parking is only permitted on one side of the street and it will be marked accordingly

Note: Cars parked on the wrong side will be towed.

Concessions

We offer a full concessions for your convenience.  Cash only.  Restrooms are located by concessions. Heat sheets will not be sold.  I will send a copy of HS for you to print the day of meet if you wish.
