In addition to the weekly meet info that you will be receiving this week, we have some important upcoming schedule items to share with you-- please read carefully!

Last Chance Meet

We have exciting news!!  Our Last Chance meet is scheduled for MONDAY/26th and is meant to give our swimmers one more opportunity to swim their favorite events or try to improve their standings in the county times.  Usually it's just our swimmers who swim races for time, BUT we have arranged to combine our LC meet with Wild Timber!!  They will host us at their pool on Monday/26th at 6:00.  It will be a fun way for our swimmers to swim against many of their friends that they normally wouldn't get to and will add some competition for better times!!  This meet will NOT be team scored- it's just for some fun,  competitive individual and relay races.  This meet is open to everyone and we hope to take lots of Marlin swimmers, so make sure you RSVP for the Last Chance meet!  With this meet falling so soon after meet 5 next week, go ahead and RSVP now for the last 2 meets!  Be sure to leave the coach some notes if there's something you'd like to swim (or not!) ;-)  or an event that you're trying to make a better time in.  

County Championship Meet

It's time to start planning for the GCSL Championship Meet, held July 7-9, at Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.  The top 50 swimmers in each event and a relay team in each age group (boys and girls) are eligible for the meet.  You can see where your child stands in the rankings by checking weekly at  https://gcsl.swimtopia.com/2023-results .  It's important to note, that children outside the top 50 can still become eligible to swim as other swimmers drop out.  I've included a report of "how high did they go" in the rankings as a reference to know the chances of a swimmer moving into the top 50.  Regardless of your child's ranking (or non-ranking), we are asking for ALL families respond to the County RSVP!!  We need to know all families who are willing and able to compete in the championship.  Even if your child does not qualify for an individual event, they may be asked to compete on a relay team if they are available.  The schedule for county meet is as follows:

• Friday, July 7 (afternoon): 15-18s
  Saturday, July 8 (morning): 9-10s
  Saturday, July 8 (afternoon): 13-14s
  Sunday, July 9 (morning): 8 & Under
  Sunday, July 9 (afternoon): 11-12s

We know this is before the final county list is out, but if they are in the Top 100, they deserve a T-shirt! Merchandise will be available at the meet, but sizes sometimes run out, so its best to order early!

End of Season Banquet

We will be announcing a date for the End of Season Banquet soon!  It will likely be in July, shortly after the county meet.  Hope you'll join us for the celebration and awards!
