GA TECH THIS WEEKEND

This weekend is the 2024 Georgia Age Group Long Course State Championships at GA Tech, and our very own Assistant Coach – Prielle Zafft – will be an announcing the meet!

If you're planning to join the Marlins next year, please consider emailing us to find out more about possible volunteer committee or council roles available!

And if you don't see a role that you think would help the team, please let us know. We are interested in all the ways you'd like to support EDM.

NEEDED for 2025:

  • Computers The only job that's fully indoors at home meets! 
    • Role: Enter all individual & relay final times into the computer.
    • Skills: Detail-oriented and precise, so all information is accurate.
  • Volunteer CoordinatorDo most of your volunteer duties prior to the meet!
    • Role: Assign parent volunteer positions for meets & oversee check-in.
    • Skills: People person and able to handle last minute changes.
  • Age Group ParentNew role for 2025!
    • Role: Similar to a room parent, point of contact for the different swimmer age groups. Also, help brainstorm and get involved with events/ideas to make things fun for your specific age group.
    • Skills: Organized, great communicator, self-starter.
  • Event LeadNew role for 2025!
    • Role: Help lead one (or more) of the Marlins season events. The more helpers we have, the more fun offerings we can provide! Season events include...
      • Pre-Season Open House
      • Welcome Party / Season Kickoff
      • Beach Ball Games
      • Stroke Clinics
      • Fun Fridays
      • End-of-Season Party / Awards
      • County Recognition Night
      • And/or anything else
    • Skills: Willing to help! You can take on the full event planning, or just team up with Head Council to oversee and manage the details.
