Hello Edinburgh County Team,

Attached is the most current spreadsheet of all of our county ranked swimmers. Events highlighted in blue are the events I intend to enter each swimmer in for the county. A few things to remember/consider: 

1) There is still one meet's results that have not been included in these rankings, so they are still subject to change. However, I do not anticipate the rankings to change significantly enough to warrant changing any of the entries currently highlighted.

2) While I would love to place swimmers in events they like they most, we also want to score as many points as possible! Two years ago, Edinburgh placed 10th and was beat out by 9th place by only 1 point, so every point counts! For swimmers who are ranked in the top 50 for multiple events, I by default choose the three events they are ranked the highest in. For swimmers ranked closely in two or more events, I consider: proximity BY TIME to/within top 20 (as only top 20 finishes score points), the swimmer's preference, as well as my own judgment as to which event I believe they can do the best in.

3) A ranking above 50 indicates that a swimmer is not currently top 50 and may not necessarily swim the event. However, every event will see swimmers elect not to swim that event in favor of swimming other events, or not attend the meet at all, resulting in swimmers outside of the top 50 moving up in ranking to be included in the top 50. Typically, swimmers that are 51-60 have a very high chance of swimming the event. Outside of that, it is highly variable but still likely that they will get to swim or attend as an alternate. (In previous years, we have had swimmers in the 80's make it into the top 50) We will know on Thursday whether or not a swimmer has made it into the top 50.

For year round swimmers that I do not see at practice that wish to swim in an event other than the ones I have placed them in, I must know by TUESDAY NIGHT in order to consider changing events. I will be finalizing entries Wednesday morning, after which they cannot be changed.

On the second sheet in the attached document, you will find all of the county relays. For convenience, I have included which stroke each swimmer will swim on the medley relays.
