2015 Gwinnett County Meet Results

Congratulations to each Edinburgh Marlin on the completion of another fantastic swim season.  Our team was represented well at the 2015 Gwinnett County Meet, and we are proud to announce that we finished in 5th place this season!  This is the best county results we have ever had, and it is all due to the great swimmers and parents that make up this team.  Thank you to each of you for your commitment to another great season.

 

Along with the 5th place finish, and trophy, the Edinburgh Marlins were awarded the Margaret Gilbert Sportsmanship Award! This is huge, as the voting is done by the teams that we compete against, and they felt the Marlins were the best.  Along with our 5th place County finish, we could not be more proud of each Marlin that exemplifies this sportsmanship!

 

A special thank you goes to our coaching staff, led by Jared Magnuson.  Throughout the entire season Jared and his staff have helped to make sure each swimmer is giving their all, and showing the necessary sportsmanship to succeed.

 

End of Season Banquet

Mark your calendar for our end of the season dessert celebration! It will be Sunday, August 2nd at 7 pm at Bear's Best Clubhouse. We will have cookies, brownies, cake & chocolate fondue. The cost is $5.00 per person... Everyone is invited, swimmer & families! We will give medals, trophies, recognize our county swimmers, and thank our coaches. There will be awards for each age group (male/female) for high point, most improved and most spirited!!

Coaches Contributions!

As our season comes to a close, we would like to reward our great coaching staff! We are asking for a voluntary contribution from each family that will go directly toward coach bonuses that will be presented at the Awards Banquet on Sunday, August 2 @ 7pm. Let's reward this hard working group just as we would a teacher, or other coach that has made a positive impact to our children's lives.

Please place your contribution in an envelope, either place your envelope in the Reeves mailbox, family folder or send via mail by Friday, July 31 (address below).  Checks should be payable to Edinburgh Marlins Swim Team.
