In addition, there is overflow parking at the Apalachee Trophy Club (golf course) across the street.

Please make sure you look to see what you are volunteering for on the website.

Swimmers and Volunteers need to check in at the Marlins check in table by 4:30pm. First shift Volunteers must report to their assignments by 5:30pm, meet starts promptly at 6:00pm. Second shift Volunteers must report around Event 32, this will be announced during the meet.

The event numbers will be in the family folders, but heats and lanes will not be available until we get to AA.

Info from AA:

In keeping with a long-standing tradition, AA will be giving back to the community this Thursday through a local food bank called Nothing But the Truth. We will be collecting Pop Tarts. If your team is interested in participating in this worthy cause, we welcome you to reach out to them and ask for donations as well. We will be collecting these at the entrance to the pool. Thank you in advance for your support with this cause.

TEAM AREA

We do have a large covered pavilion (with ceiling fans and tables/benches) for your team to use for their bullpen area, so if your team is in the habit of bringing small tents they won't be needed. There is a small playground area right by it that your younger kids are more than welcome to use to entertain themselves while not swimming. We do ask that the kids not throw or kick the mulch/wood chips and that they stay off the tennis courts that are adjacent to the area. We've had a few issues in the past with other teams, so our tennis pro has asked us to mention it if possible.

CONCESSIONS

Our concession area sells chicken sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A, grilled hot dogs, pizza from Riverside and the usual assortment of drinks, chips, candies, and ice cream.

HEAT SHEETS

Heat sheets will be sold right inside the gate of the main pool entrance.  They cost $2. We will have 12 complimentary heat sheets for your coaches, officials, bullpen and staging.

PARENTS/SPECTATORS

Apalachee Aquatics parents and spectators sit facing the clubhouse and the visiting team sits on the side of the pool closest to the clubhouse and bathrooms.  It does get a good amount of sun so you may want encourage your parents to bring umbrellas or tents for the sunny first half of the meet.  We both have big teams so we encourage people to sit where they can find a spot:)

Weather Delays

What if it starts raining at a meet?  We do swim in the rain, not a thunderstorm.

If a meet is interrupted for a thunderstorm, DO NOT GO HOME! For everyone’s safety, follow the inclement weather instructions in the Heat Sheet. Many times the meet will resume where it left off after the storm passes. If it does not resume, you will be notified via text of the make -up date, which will be determined prior to the meet by both teams. For home meets the make-up date will be the next evening unless otherwise notified. Volunteers will keep the same assignments for the make-up meet. Please find your own replacement if you cannot attend the second meet.

GO MARLINS!!
