Marlins Week of Giving...
It is hard to believe we are beginning the final week of our season, and we our coaches have brought the great idea to kick off our final week of giving by collecting items for the North Gwinnett Co-Op. Located in Buford, the NG Co-Op provides assistance to families in need in our immediate area. We will be collecting donations throughout this week at practice, and at our final swim meet on Monday, June 29th. The bin will be located near the family folders at each practice and in the concession area during the meet. We will ask a select few members of the swim team to assist with the delivery of these items on the week of the 29th. Below is a list of the sample items that are always needed:
- Peanut butter, jelly, cereal, canned fruit, rice, beans, pasta (and sauce), paper towels, dish soap, toothpaste & toothbrushes, deodorant and shampoo

Our final home meet will be on Monday, June 29th and we will have another celebration to help raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). We will have a raffle throughout the event, and we will also have a bake sale to help raise money. We gladly encourage any Marlin that has an opportunity to provide an item(s) for raffle, or to provide something for the bake sale, to help us raise even more money this year! Please see the attached flyer for a sample of the items that will be raffled throughout the evening.
Another great Marlin tradition for the final swim meet is the have the Annual Parent Relay. We will have parents from our team race against each other, and the opposing parents, in a fun relay in the middle of the meet. Based on the amount of talented swimmers we have on our team, we know there are many great parents that can swim as well.
