Inclement Weather Instructions
Marlins,
Thanks to everyone, swimmers and parent workers, for making our first meet of the season a success! Even with a rain/storm delay, our Marlins swam a very competitive meet with a strong Chateau Elan team. The final results have been posted on the website. We did have some swimmers leave last night before the meet was finished. Their participation could have had an impact on our team winning vs. losing. Just to be clear, a swimmer should never leave a meet without talking to Head Coach, Jared Magnuson. Listed is our policy on weather delays during a meet.
What if it starts raining at a meet?
If a meet is interrupted for a thunderstorm, DO NOT GO HOME! For everyone’s safety, follow the inclement weather instructions in the Heat Sheet. Many times the meet will resume where it left off after the storm passes. If it does not resume, you will be notified via Calling Post of the make -up date, which will be determined prior to the meet by both teams. For home meets the make-up date will be the next evening unless otherwise notified. Volunteers will keep the same assignments for the make-up meet. Please find your own replacement if you cannot attend the second meet.
** Please let us know if you lost a cell phone at the meet. One of the parents found a black LG Metro PCS phone in their bag. **
