LOTS of County Information- Please Read!

Dear Edinburgh Marlins Parents,

 
Believe it or not the season is nearly over.  With two meets remaining in the regular season (this Thursday and the following Tuesday), we look forward to having EDM's greatest ever participation at the GCSL County Meet.

 
Unfortunately we do not have the required County Meet Coordinator to oversee the details of EDM's participation at the county meet.  If your child has achieved times to rank him or her in the top 50 in any given event, we want you to consider volunteering for this role.  The county meet is where all the best swimmers from the county will compete, so it is a great opportunity for our swimmers to compete with the best GCSL has to offer.  Also, please keep in mind that often swimmers in the top 75 or even the top 100 get invited to the county meet, so it is possible that your child has a chance to make it, particularly if his/her times continue to improve through the two remaining meets.

 
Again, I invite anyone interested to contact anyone in the swim team committee, but please do so ASAP as we must start preparing for county soon.

Also a big Congrats to Ethan Dawidowicz who will be swimming 50 Free, 50 Back, 100 Free, 50 Fly, 200 Free, 50 Breast and 100 Back, to Ethan Denbrok who will be swimming the 100 breast, and last but not least Tyler Mazurek who clocked the fastest 400 free in the USA!!!!!  All will be competing at the State meet in Augusta, GA on July 15-17!  Great Job Guys - way to make your Marlins proud!

Please open the first attachment in this email.  It is general county information and will hopefully answer most questions about the big meet.  Afterward please read over the tentative list of current county qualifiers as of now but keep in mind these are ever changing and we will be posting more up to date lists as the next 2 meets occur for all teams.  Also County is made up of the top 50 swimmers not 75 but there are many who 'opt out' due to vacations, etc. so as you can see there is still lots of time and possibility for changes.
