Our 2011 Coaching Staff

Coach Laura Sheppard and Coach Kelly-ann Peters will be returning this year.  Unfortunately, Coach Danny Brinkley will not be returning this summer due to an internship and will be missed, but we have hired 2 new assistant coaches that we expect to be as competent and motivating as our beloved Coach Danny!

Coach Clarence Messler is a 3rd year college student who has swam competitively within the Gwinnett County Swim League for 6 years with the Evergreen Lakes Eels, all 4 years at Parkview High School and finished his senior year as the Panthers Captain with record times and competed as an All State, All County and All American.  He simultaneously coached and swam for a USA Swimming Club for 3 years.  He swam for the University of Tamp and Indian River State College before returning the Lilburn to continue his studies locally this fall.

Coach Jared Magnuson is a senior at Hebron Christian Academy and swam competitively with Swim Atlanta for 8 years, in the Gwinnett County Swim League for 6 years with the Spring Brook Stingrays and simultaneously coached 2 years, and for Hebron Christian Academy all 4 years of high school.  Coach Jared comes highly recommended by Chris Davis of Swim Atlanta.  Coach Jared will be rounding out our 15-18 year swimmers too!

We have also hired 2 junior assistant coaches from within our team.

Coach Paige Rogers is a senior at North Gwinnett High School, has swam for the NGHS Swim team and for the Edinburgh Marlins 1 year.  Paige is a member of the NGHS Beta Club and a peer tutor.  Paige is highly recommended by the Coach Doug Neimann of the NGHS Swim Team.

Coach Megan Murphy is a charter member of our swim team.  Megan is a sophomore at NGHS, she has swam for NGHS for 2 years and Swim Atlanta for 1 ½ years.  Megan is a member of the NGHS Marching Band and is actively involved in leadership opportunities at her Church and with community service projects.

Please remember to email the coaches if you have any questions or concerns.  It is very important not to talk to them when they are working, if you have a request or a concern please email them or wait until practice is over.
