OK County Swimmers, This Is IT!!!

The moment is here and the time is right for racing in the Georgia Tech swimming pool!

Directions:

Georgia Tech Pool address is 750 Ferst Dr. NW, Atlanta, GA 30318

• Take 85 South to North Ave NW (make a right at the light)
• Take Tech Parkway NW to Tech Parkway (make a second right at the light)
• Take Regents Drive (make a third right at the light.  Note:  Very short road)
• Take Ferst Drive NW (make a left at the light)
• Natatorium is on the left.  You'll know it because you'll drive over a large speed bump in the road

Parking
 

• Park to the right of the building in their parking deck.
• Cost is $5.00 per exit on both days.
  • Note:  Parking fee is for as good as you keep your car there on the day of the event.  Once you leave, you'll have to pay for parking again.

Order of Events

Note:  All swimmers enter the pool deck at the far end of the building using the stairs near the main scoreboard.

Session 1
 

• Saturday, July 17th (9 - 10 yr old girls and boys)
  • Arrive at 7:00 a.m. at the very latest.
  • Warm-Ups begin at 7:30 a.m. sharp
    • Scoreboard pool - Lane 5
  • Meet Start Time 9:20 a.m. sharp

Session 2
 

• Saturday, July 17th (13 - 14  and 15 - 18 yr old girls and boys)
• NOTE:  This is a double session and is usually a little more confusing than the rest so pay attention to your events and when to be in staging prior to your event)
  • Arrive at 1:00 p.m. at the very latest.
  • Warm-Ups begin at 1:30 p.m. sharp
    • Main pool - Lane 5
  • Meet Start Time 3:15 p.m. sharp

Session 3
 

• Sunday, July 18th (8 yrs old & Under girls and boys)
  • Arrive between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. at the very latest.
  • Warm-Ups begin at 8:00 a.m. sharp
    • Scoreboard pool - Lane 5
  • Meet Start Time 9:15 a.m. sharp
• NOTE: Coaches and Team Managers will assist the younger swimmers on getting from the bullpen to the staging areas and eventually to the starting blocks.

Session 4
 

• Sunday, July 18th (11 - 12 yr old girls and boys)
  • Arrive at 12:45 p.m. at the very latest
  • Warm-Ups begin at 1:15 p.m. sharp
    • Main Pool - Lane 5
  • Meet Start Time 3:00 p.m. sharp

Tickets
 

• DON'T forget to bring your tickets!
• You don't need them to enter the building just for when you're in your seats

General Information
 

• Do not use flash photography at the start of any heat / race
• Do not use any noisemakers
• Do not use sharpies
• Bring snacks and drinks for your children in a small cooler.
  • No glass bottles
• Wear your Marlin's blue tie-dyed team shirts
• Deneen Manor and Jenna Kocon will be present during the 1st and 3rd Sessions with Goggles and Swim Caps if you need to purchase them.
• Bring a few towels
• Have something to entertain the swimmers with while they wait in the bullpen.
